How To Order Vegan at Smoothie King
I’ll admit it. I’m a sucker for a cold smoothie on a hot summer day. Or, after a workout. Or, in the morning as an on-the-go breakfast option.
Okay… I just love smoothies.
And, it’s tremendously easy to order vegan at Smoothie King which is why I find myself there way too often.
There are dozens of vegan smoothie options to choose from, most of which do not even require any modifications. I’m going to over many of them here, including what’s in them and I’ll even give you a couple of recommendations.
Finally, Smoothie King recently added smoothie bowls to their menu as well so scroll down past the smoothie options if you want to see how to order smoothie bowls vegan at Smoothie King.
Types of Vegan Smoothies
Other than just choosing your flavor, the biggest decision you’ll need to make is to decide what kind of smoothie you want.
Your options are Feel Energized Blends, Manage Weight Blends, Be Well Blends and Enjoy a Treat Blends.
Feel Energized Blends
As the name suggests, the Feel Energized Blend smoothies include caffeine to help you kickstart your day or as an afternoon pick-me-up. The caffeine comes in the form of either coffee, espresso or Smoothie King’s Pure Recharge Enhancer.
A few vegan options in the Feel Energized Blend category are:
Pure Recharge Mango Strawberry
Strawberries, Mango, Apple Pineapple Juice Blend, Pure Recharge Enhancer & Electrolyte Blend. (A 20oz Smoothie contains 181mg of caffeine)
Vegan Coffee Mocha
Bananas, Dates, Oatmilk, Cold Brew Coffee, 100% Cocoa and Sunwarior Plant Protein Powder. (A 20oz Smoothie contains 84mg of caffeine)
Vegan Espresso Mocha
Bananas, Dates, Oatmilk, Espresso, 100% Cocoa and Sunwarrior Plant Protein Powder. (A 20oz Smoothie contains 159mg of caffeine)
Recommendation: The Vegan Espresso Mocha is one of my favorites! It has a great coffee taste without being overpowering. It’s like having an iced frappuccino with a scoop of protein powder.
Manage Weight Blends
These lower-calorie smoothie options are a good fit for anyone paying close attention to their caloric intake.
Here is your best option for a vegan-friendly Manage Weight Blend smoothie:
Mangofest
Mango, Apple Pineapple Juice Blend, Papaya Juice Blend (A 20 oz smoothie is 300 calories and contains 0 grams of added sugar)

All you need to do is swap the regular protein blend with the Sunwarrior Plant Protein.

Vegan Enjoy a Treat Blends with Modifications
There is one more Enjoy a Treat Blend that I wanted to include but be aware it does need a slight modification.
The Angel Food Smoothie comes with cow milk by default – just make sure to swap the milk with Oatmilk or Almond Milk.
Angel Food
Strawberries, Bananas, Turbinado Sugar (Don’t forget to switch the milk with Oatmilk or Almond Milk)
Smoothie Bowls
There are two smoothie bowls that can be ordered vegan straight off the menu.
Recommendation: There are two bases for the smoothie bowls – an acai base and a pitaya base. Both are tasty but the pitaya base melts fast (the acai base melts fairly quickly too). If you’re getting a bowl I would be prepared to eat it right away.
PB Swizzle
Acai Base, Sweet Berries, Fresh Bananas, Savory Peanut Butter Drizzle, Purely Elizabeth Granola
PB Delight
Pitaya Base, Blueberries, Fresh Bananas, Dried Goji Berries, Savory Peanut Butter Drizzle, Purely Elizabeth Granola
Final Thoughts
A few things to keep in mind when ordering vegan at any restaurant that is not a completely vegan restaurant.
- ALWAYS check with your server before ordering to confirm any information you have read here is correct. There are many variables – menus change, ingredients change, differences between individual locations of the same chain, etc – that could cause the information on this page to be incorrect.
- Cross-Contamination is not only possible, it’s likely to happen. Restaurants use shared surfaces and even if a location is doing its best, it’s almost impossible to prevent all cross-contamination. If this is an issue for you, I would suggest not eating at these types of locations.
- Eco Sasquatch is not responsible for any actions taken based on the information on this page.
